Taglo Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 2026 · Version: v1.3

Taglo Labs Ltd ("Taglo", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, process, and share information when you access or use the Taglo platform, including our mobile applications, website, creator programmes, monetisation systems, subscription services, AI features, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

1. Company Information

Taglo Labs Ltd
Private Limited Company registered in England and Wales
Company Number: 17211131
71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom
hello@taglo.social

2. Information We Collect

We may collect account information including email address, username, hashed password, date of birth, country, profile information, uploaded content, comments, reactions, follows, analytics data, and monetisation information.

If you subscribe to a paid plan (Taglo Pro or Taglo Elite) or receive creator payouts, we also process related billing and payout information. Payments and payouts are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full payment card number; card and bank details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. For creator payouts, identity and payout details you provide are collected and verified by Stripe, and we receive account status and payout confirmations.

For affiliate monetization, we process affiliate click identifiers and conversion data used to attribute qualifying sales to the correct creator.

Founding Creators may optionally provide social media handles and phone numbers for creator communications including WhatsApp groups.

3. AI and Photo Processing

When users upload photos for AI-assisted product identification, images may be securely transmitted to Anthropic through the Claude Sonnet 4.5 API for tagging purposes.

AI-generated suggestions are reviewed and confirmed by users before publication.

Taglo does not use AI for facial recognition or biometric identification.

To keep the Platform safe, photos and videos you upload for publication are automatically screened by content-moderation systems before they become visible to others. Video screening uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) Rekognition; a copy of the video is processed securely for this purpose and deleted after screening. Content that fails screening is not published.

4. Live Shopping Sessions (Shop With A Friend)

Shop With A Friend lets adult (18+) users start live audio calls and, with explicit consent, share what they are browsing with friends in the call.

  • Call audio is transmitted in real time through our real-time infrastructure provider, LiveKit. Calls are not recorded or stored by Taglo.
  • Screen sharing is off by default and only starts when you turn on the share toggle. What is shared is a description of the content you are viewing (such as product and post identifiers), never your actual screen, camera, notifications, or anything outside the app. Sharing stops when you turn the toggle off or the call ends, and nothing shared is recorded or stored.
  • While sharing is on, friends in your call can also see the items in your Taglo saved list and basket, so you can shop together. This visibility ends with the call.
  • We store session records (who joined, when, invitations and their outcomes) to run the feature, enforce our safety rules (including rate limits and blocks), and comply with law.
  • Sessions are only possible between users who follow each other, and can be limited or switched off entirely in your settings (do not disturb / invite preferences). Blocking a user prevents any session contact with them.

5. Style Personalisation (Optional)

If you are 18 or over, you can opt in to Style Personalisation in your preferences. When enabled, we log how you interact with products (for example items you view, open, save, add to your basket, or scroll past, and product attributes such as brand, colour, category, and price band) and build a taste profile used to rank products and recommendations for you.

  • This is off by default and only ever available to users aged 18 or over. It is never enabled for minors.
  • The legal basis for this processing is your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time in your preferences; we then stop collecting these signals and delete your taste profile.
  • You can also ask us to delete your interaction history at any time (see User Rights).
  • We also use product image analysis (embeddings of catalogue product photos — not of your photos or personal data) to find visually similar products.

6. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • Operate and improve the Platform
  • Process creator monetisation
  • Detect fraud and abuse
  • Provide AI-assisted product tagging
  • Send notifications and account communications
  • Enable direct messaging and live shopping sessions between adult (18+) users
  • Process affiliate tracking and conversions
  • Manage paid subscriptions and process creator monetization and payouts
  • Protect users and comply with child-safety and other legal obligations
  • Personalise product recommendations where you have opted in to Style Personalisation

7. Third-Party Services

We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only as needed to run the Platform. These include:

  • Supabase (database, authentication, and storage infrastructure)
  • Anthropic (AI-assisted product tagging)
  • Google Firebase (Cloud Messaging, used to deliver push notifications)
  • Cloudflare (video streaming and content delivery)
  • LiveKit (real-time audio for live shopping sessions; calls are not recorded)
  • Amazon Web Services (automated content moderation of uploaded videos, and AI infrastructure for product-image analysis)
  • Stripe (payment processing, subscription billing, and creator payouts via Stripe Connect)
  • Affiliate networks including Awin, Rakuten, and Webgains (and others such as Sovrn or Impact where applicable)
  • Email providers
  • Analytics providers
  • WhatsApp / Meta where users opt in

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent purposes. Affiliate networks receive referral click data through links you tap; they do not receive your account information from us.

8. International Transfers

User information may be processed or stored outside the United Kingdom or Australia including in the United States and Singapore.

We rely on appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

9. User Rights

Users may have rights including:

  • Access to their information
  • Correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion requests
  • Data portability
  • Restriction or objection to processing
  • Withdrawal of consent

Users may exercise rights by contacting hello@taglo.social.

10. Account Deletion

You can delete your account and associated data at any time, either through in-app settings (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or by emailing hello@taglo.social from your registered email address.

For full step-by-step instructions and details of what data is deleted or retained, see our Delete Your Account page.

Material that must be preserved and reported to authorities by law, including suspected child sexual abuse material, is retained as required even after an account is deleted (see the Children's Privacy and Child Safety section).

11. Children's Privacy and Child Safety

Taglo does not knowingly collect information from children under thirteen (13) years of age.

Minimum age requirements vary by jurisdiction. Users under 16 cannot post their own content, and users under 18 cannot tag products, earn commission, receive payouts, or take part in the creator programme. The Founding Creator programme is strictly limited to users aged eighteen (18) years or older.

Taglo has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse or exploitation material ("CSEA"). Where such material is suspected, detected by our systems, or reported to us, we are legally required to preserve it and report it to the relevant authorities rather than delete it. Suspected material is stored securely in a restricted location that no Taglo staff can access or view, is handed to the appropriate authorities and specialist bodies (which may include the National Crime Agency, the Internet Watch Foundation, and/or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children), and is retained as required by law even after an account is deleted. Taglo staff only ever access related metadata (such as the account and detection details), never the material itself.

12. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Taglo website may use cookies and similar technologies, including:

  • Essential cookies required for the site and secure sign-in to function
  • Analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used
  • Marketing cookies used, where permitted, to measure and improve campaigns
  • Affiliate tracking cookies used to attribute qualifying purchases to the correct creator

Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can manage your preferences through your browser settings or any cookie controls we provide.

13. Data Retention

Active account data is retained while accounts remain active.

Deleted account data is generally removed within thirty (30) days unless legal retention is required.

Payment and transaction records may be retained for six (6) years for tax compliance purposes.

Material we are legally required to preserve and report (including suspected child sexual abuse material) is retained for as long as required by law and the relevant authorities, including after account deletion.

14. Security

Taglo implements reasonable technical and organisational security measures including:

  • HTTPS encryption
  • Encryption at rest
  • Password hashing
  • Access controls
  • Automated backups
  • Fraud monitoring systems

15. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes may be communicated through email or in-app notifications.
